Proceeds-of-crime
confiscations against secondary parties alleged to be warehousing criminal
profits continue with restraining orders against a Miranda property owned by
Glen Scouse and Grant Hardie.
The High Court was told
police investigations into the activities of a David O’Carroll led them to
suspect he had an undisclosed interest in a Rataroa Road property owned by Mr
Scouse and Mr Hardie. These two reached
an agreement with police under the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act, agreeing
to surrender $380,000. The High Court
approved a settlement giving them twenty days to raise the funds, failing that
their Miranda property is to be sold.
They also have to pay a further $15,000 to cover legal costs.
